Intimate Look at History
This exhibition proposes to tie up and untie the links between the notions of intimacy, history and politics in certain artistic practices from the 1980s to today. However, we should not expect the artists of this exhibition to reveal intimate stories. It is rather about constructing spaces where the gaze can unfold on history. If the stories are numerous and plural, they will be grouped here under three main headings: the history of the LGBTQIA+ communities, the revisited history of Quebec and the forgotten stories / the erased stories.
