“Untitled” (It's Just a Matter of Time), 1992, by Felix Gonzalez-Torres will be exhibited on the streets of Madrid during ARCO

It will be possible to see the piece in different parts of the capital for several weeks

[The piece “Untitled" (“It’s Just a Matter of Time”), 1992, by Felix Gonzalez-Torres, will be installed in different spaces in Madrid]

As part of the celebration of ARCOmadrid’s 39th edition - the main theme of which is the concept ‘It’s Just a Matter of Time’, which will exhibit artistic practices based on Felix Gonzalez-Torres’s work - the piece “Untitled” (It's Just a Matter of Time), 1992, by the Cuban-born artist, will be installed in different spaces in Madrid.

From 3 February to 1 March it will be displayed on billboards on the following streets of the Spanish capital: Avenida de Pio XII, 77; Calle de Juan Ignacio Luca de Tena; Avenida de Logroño, 78; Bulevar José Prat – Glorieta Ladera de los Almendros; Calle Alcalá 539 – Avenida 25 de Septiembre, and the intersection of Calle Arequipa and Calle Torquemada.

From 18 February to 2 March, it will be in the following Metro stations: Line 2, Sevilla, platform for trains bound for Cuatro Caminos; Line 5, Diego de León platform for trains bound for Casa de Campo; Line 7, Gregorio Marañón, platform for trains bound for Pitis; Line 9, Avenida de América, platform for trains bound for Arganda del Rey; Line 9, Plaza de Castilla, platform for trains bound for Arganda del Rey; Line 10, Santiago Bernabéu, platform for trains bound for Hospital Infanta Sofía.

‘It’s Just a Matter of Time’ is a section that will be curated by Alejandro Cesarco and Mason Leaver-Yap, with Manuel Segade in the public programme, consisting of 16 artists from 13 galleries. There, artistic practices based on the work of Felix Gonzalez-Torres will be presented and studied.

As part of this programme, conferences, discussions and debates will also be held, with the participation of Hamza Walker, Tony Cokes, Jorge Ribalta, Laura Guy, Theodore (ted) Kerr, Marta Echaves and Lynne Cooke.

ARCOmadrid will take place for the 39th time from 26 February to 1 March 2020 in Halls 7 and 9 at IFEMA, from 12 noon to 8 pm.
